Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Pay Bands

  • Design and oversee the organization’s compensation strategy, including salary structures, pay bands, and incentive programs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain pay bands aligned with market data and internal equity.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and compliant pay practices.
  • Lead annual compensation review processes, including merit increases, bonus programs, and promotions.

Benefits & Self-Funded Health Plan

  • Manage the strategic planning, administration, and compliance of all benefits programs, with a focus on the self-funded health plan.
  • Oversee vendor management, including third-party administrators, brokers, and stop-loss carriers.
  • Analyze claims data, utilization trends, and cost drivers to recommend and implement cost-containment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.).

Total Rewards Strategy

  • Develop an integrated total rewards strategy that supports organizational goals, talent acquisition, and retention.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to align compensation and benefits with workforce planning initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and training to HR partners and leaders on pay structures, benefits offerings, and total rewards philosophy.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Prepare and present reports and analytics to senior leadership, including total rewards cost modeling, pay equity analyses, and trend forecasting.

Leadership & Vendor Oversight

  • Manage external consultants, brokers, and vendors to ensure service excellence and cost efficiency.
  • Lead a team responsible for compensation, benefits, and rewards administration.
  • Develop and manage the total rewards budget.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CCP, CBP, CEBS, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with HRIS and compensation analysis tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of benefits compliance regulations and compensation best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • 10+ years in compensation and benefits, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a self-funded health plan.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining pay bands and compensation structures.

Pay And Benefits:

$115,000 to $125,000 annually , depending on education and experience.
