Head of People Center of Excellence
Location: Copenhagen
Are you ready to enhance the People & Culture framework in a fast-growing organization that is keeping society connected? As Head of our People Center of Excellence, you’ll take the lead in building the governance, frameworks, and solutions that enable growth, performance, and employee satisfaction. This is your chance to combine strategic value, operational excellence, and people leadership.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated, result-oriented leader for our People Center of Excellence (CoE) team, which creates and maintains the governance, policies, systems, and frameworks that make GlobalConnect a great place to work. The CoE sits at the heart of our People & Culture unit, ensuring our organization has the right structures to enable growth, performance, and employee satisfaction.
At GlobalConnect, People & Culture is a full-service HR partner for leaders and employees across the group. We deliver everything from HR Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition to Learning & Development, payroll, data-analytics, legal, and compensation & benefits. Our goal is simple: to make it easy for leaders and employees to thrive, while promoting a workplace that is inspiring, rewarding, and attractive.
In recent years, we’ve focused on integrating our entities across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Germany into one seamless unit. Today, we work as a truly pan-Nordic organization, with processes and policies designed for the group while respecting national legal and cultural differences.
As Head of the People Center of Excellence, you will:
- Facilitate the ongoing development of our CoE in HR Legal, Compensation & Benefits, HR Data-Analytics and special projects, e.g. M A related tasks.
- Lead and inspire a team of three-four highly skilled specialists in their respective areas.
- Work closely with colleagues in People & Culture, as well as stakeholders in Legal, Finance, and other corporate functions.
- Be part of the People Leadership Team, consisting of four People leaders and the Senior Vice President, People & Culture, to whom you will report.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape HR Governance: Manage and continuously improve People & Culture governance, policies, the employee handbook, HRIS systems, and HR data reporting — ensuring a strong and modern HR infrastructure across the organization.
- Manage Labour Relations: Implement and enforce collective labour agreements in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, while building constructive relations with unions and employee representatives.
- Own Compensation & Benefits: Manage GlobalConnect’s Compensation & Benefits framework, including annual processes such as incentives and salary reviews, and introduce new approaches to pay transparency and salary structures.
- Provide Specialized Knowledge: Lead the People Center of Excellence’s second-line support model, offering guidance on governance, data, and systems to leaders, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations teams.
- Work Together with All Organizational Leaders: Team up with leaders across all levels, from entry-level to executive, to support the priorities of the People Center of Excellence and HR strategies.
- Facilitate Change and Communication: Manage the processes of change management and communication related to essential People Center of Excellence initiatives, yearly cycles, and fresh developments.
To thrive in this role, we think you have:
- Experience: At least 5 years of direct experience delivering HR operational assignments within an HR department in a privately owned company. Leadership experience is a plus but not a strict requirement.
- Education: A Master of Law (or equivalent master’s degree) with in-depth knowledge of employment and labour law. Experience across other People Center of Excellence areas such as Compensation & Benefits, Data, Analytics is highly valued. Knowledge of employment law in other Nordic countries would be an advantage.
- Mindset: A methodical, business-oriented approach with an avid interest in translating business needs into effective HR governance and deliveries.
- Skills: Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Collaboration: Proficient cooperation, communication, and negotiation skills in English and a Nordic language, combined with a solid understanding of change management practices.
