A Day in the Life

The mission of this role is to contribute to the building of Enterprise Operations INSIGHTS to drive for best-in-class practices and tools for Global Operations.

You will partner with business stakeholders to understand and solve business problems. Primarily you are responsible for building Data Models in Snowflake while providing subject matter expertise and technical knowledge. This role will follow the data engineering life cycle and combines business acumen with technical acumen. The mission of data engineering is to deliver high quality data assets on time.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Work in an agile way by attending daily scrum calls and weekly sprint planning sessions
• Work with SME’s, users of our systems, scrum masters and IT partners to better understand business processes and the data which supports those processes
• Adhere to data engineering life cycle (generation, ingestion, transformation, serving) and all related under currents (security, data management, data operations, data architecture, orchestration and software engineering)
• Collaborate extensively across cross-functional teams and the organization
• Drive the development and deployment of analytical solutions, fostering analytics and insights that yield positive business outcomes
• Ensure a high level of customer value and satisfaction through extreme ownership
• Serve as a data steward of your analytics by generating insights for business use cases.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Supply Chain and Operations Analytics (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)  
• Demonstrated proficiency in one or more data programming languages (SQL, PL/SQL, Snowflake scripting, Python, Power Query, DAX) 
• Demonstrates high emotional intelligence: Self Awareness, Empathy, Motivation, Self-Regulation, Social skills.

The candidate has experience with ERP systems such as SAP and JDE, as well as Demand and Supply Planning Systems like SAP APO and Blue Yonder. They are proficient in data transformation tools such as getDBT or coalesce and have experience with data extraction tools like Informatica and Alteryx. Additionally, they are skilled in using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform, which includes Power Apps and Power Automate, to influence decisions and drive projects to completion. The candidate is also experienced with reporting tools such as Power BI, and has worked with API scripting. They have a background in working in an Agile environment and are familiar with data modelling tools such as MIRO, Erwin, and Power Designer.
