PeopleCert is seeking an Azure Developer who will be responsible for building, customizing, and integrating AI-powered services into PeopleCert’s enterprise applications and digital platforms. You’ll work closely with the AI team to turn prototypes into usable enterprise solutions by leveraging Azure-native services and modern development practices. Your mission is to ensure AI capabilities are seamlessly embedded into business workflows in a secure, scalable, and maintainable way. Â

As an Azure Developer, your tasks will include the following: Â
- Develop and maintain custom applications, APIs, and integrations on Microsoft Azure. Â
- Collaborate with Machine Learning and MLOps Engineers to wrap models into production-ready services (e.g. Azure Functions, Web APIs, Logic Apps). Â
- Extend and integrate AI-driven functionality within enterprise applications and platforms. Â
- Build connectors and plugins to expose AI features within workflows (e.g. business apps, reporting, automation). Â
- Ensure code and integrations follow best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability. Â
- Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Azure-based AI services. Â
- Work with the AI Solution Architect to align implementations with enterprise architecture and standards. Â
What we look for:  Â
- Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or higher will be considered a plus.Â
- 3+ proven experience in Azure development: Functions, App Services, Logic Apps, API Management. Â
- Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Â
- Experience with REST and GraphQL API design and integration. Â
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines. Â
- Solid understanding of security and identity management (OAuth, Azure AD, role-based access). Â
- Ability to collaborate across AI, data, and enterprise application teams. Â
Nice-to-Have: Â
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse and Microsoft Fabric. Â
- Experience customizing and extending enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, content management, or equivalent). Â
- Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI). Â
- Knowledge of observability and performance optimization practices for cloud applications. Â

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
- A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
- Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
- HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Financial background check
- Employment reference check.
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
