To strengthen further our Human Resources team in Korea, we are looking to hire Korea Country HR leader who will be accountable for end-to-end HR service for all client groups located in Korea. This position is responsible to staff, lead, manage and deploy the HR resources within the country to aid the business in meeting its objectives. It is expected that this role will hold significant country-specific expertise along with experience of working with unions. The successful candidate will be a business partner to local leaders, employee union and a collaborator with all functional and business HR partners to deliver a culture of excellence, which can in turn deliver the desired results.  

•    Ensure that country HR strategies are aligned and linked to business strategic and operational plans. 
•    Operate in a consulting and advisory mode, support the organization in the achievement of objectives which address Talent management; Performance and development; Enabling change in a positive way; Building engagement and Organization Development.
•    Implement Country Talent attraction, retention and talent growth strategy- deliver full range of human resource support to business including Staffing, C&B, talent assessment and development in collaboration with dedicated HR Centers of Excellence
•    Partner with global HR Business Partners team to implement HR actions to meet short- and long-term organization strategy targets 
•    Provide support to Line Managers via coaching, consulting and advice, to assist them in effectively addressing organizational issues such as capability/performance, disciplinary and grievance issues which may arise in people management, organization and employee relations matters
•    Champion Garrett’s DNA and lead organization culture enforcement initiatives and employee wellbeing projects at country level
•    Manage Labour and Employee Relations climate and participate as active member in negotiations preparation, driving solutions to mitigate risk and enable strong contingency
•    Maintain a positive IR/ER environment and support the development of frameworks for engagement as appropriate. Deploy organization pulse surveys and implement the recommended measures.
•    Maintain an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees & ensure the implementation of HR processes, policies and procedures that are based on best practice as well as fully compliant with internal regulations and Korean employment legislation.
•    Lead Korea HR team for deployment of Garrett Excellence Model in Korea HR 
•    Coach, support and develop Garrett Korea HR team members enabling a high performing team culture.

 

Qualification

• 15 years + extensive Human Resources experience
• Strong performance management, Employee Relations and employment law knowledge along with experience of working with union
• Strong business acumen
• Ability to partner with and influence multiple stakeholders at country and corporate level. 
• Effective communication and collaboration skills 
• Strong coaching & team development skills
• English Communication Skills
