The RoleDue to continued business growth in the region, Trip.com has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and commercially astute Airline Account Manager to join our growing Air Commercial team in Korea.You will be accountable for managing a portfolio of carriers and business partners within Korea; with responsibility for developing and expanding local airline partnerships and negotiating preferred airline agreements. This role will also have responsibility for managing airline initiatives and strategic projects aimed at improving business growth within Korea.
The successful candidate will be required to work with teams locally in Korea, but also with the global supply team - so we are looking for someone who is adaptable and is a team player!
Skills & ExperienceTo be considered for this position you will need to bring the following:
Educational & Professional Background
- Bachelor’s degree or above, with 7+ years of commercial experience in the Airline, OTA, or GDS industry.
- Solid knowledge of the travel industry, including travel technology products, BSP/GDS, API/NDC, and online travel sales channels.
Language & Communication
- Fluent in English and Korean (written & spoken).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
Commercial & Negotiation Expertise
- Proven success in managing key airline accounts and partnerships, driving measurable revenue growth.
- Strong ability to design and execute sales strategies that deliver tangible business results.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and closing commercial negotiations.
- Strategic & Creative Thinking
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align initiatives to business priorities and market opportunities.
- Brings creative, practical ideas and converts them into actionable sales and marketing initiatives.
- Skilled at integrating market insights into sales strategies to gain competitive advantage.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong analytical ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive informed decisions.
- Consistent track record of meeting deadlines and delivering projects with measurable outcomes.
- Quick to identify emerging market trends in Korea and apply them effectively to business execution.
Leadership & Project Execution
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in collaboration with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, operations).
- Hands-on, execution-driven leader, capable of taking initiatives from planning through to delivery.
- Self-starter with strong ownership, motivated to innovate and achieve results in a dynamic environment.
