Are you interested in executing M&A transactions in a global setting?

We are looking for a Manager, M&A to join our corporate M&A team and play a key role in executing Valmet’s growth strategy. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of strategic decision-making, where you’ll lead acquisition projects from start to finish — from deal sourcing and valuation to negotiations and integration.

Valmet’s corporate M&A team is responsible for developing and implementing our M&A strategy. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Business Areas and senior management, providing insights and recommendations that help guide strategic decisions. You’ll prepare business cases, conduct valuations, structure deals, and support negotiations — all while collaborating across our global organization.

You will report to the Interim Head of M&A for the Valmet Group and be located at our Head office in Espoo. This is a temporary position, starting in December 2025.

We are looking for candidates with


•    A Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field, with excellent academic results
•    At least three years of relevant experience from M&A, corporate strategy, business strategy or financial investments. Work experience from investment banking, management consulting, private equity or similar corporate role provides a good background for the position
•    Strong, fact-based analytical and conceptual capabilities, financial modelling, and strategic analysis competence together with the ability to articulate insights verbally and in writing
•    Structured and result -oriented approach with a high level of personal drive and excellent collaboration skills to interact across our global organization
•    Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, proficiency in other languages being an asset
