We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support deaf children and young people, their families, and educational settings across Birmingham. This role focuses on promoting inclusive communication strategies, supporting access to learning, and helping young people develop the skills they need for independence and adulthood.
You will work directly with children and families not only in schools and other educational settings, but also in their homes, empowering families to support their child’s development. Your work will also play a vital role in supporting transition into, and between settings.
You will be part of the Sensory and Physical Support Team, working alongside Teachers of the Deaf and Specialist Teaching Assistants.
