Since 2007 Morgan Stanley has been expanding its own fully-owned premier investment banking and sales & trading platform in India, providing a full range of investment banking, sales & trading, equity, fixed income,fx commodities and derivative products, as well as research services. Building on this existing platform in India, we are looking to invest in establishing a Derivative Operations division that will continue to recognize and match the global need of our clients.

Background on the Team

The FX Derivative Documentation Team consists of two groups: The Drafting Team and the Retrievals Team. All teams focus on working to regulator guidelines and market wide best practice.

The Drafting team looks after the production of documentation for FX Derivative trades for EMEA, Asia and NY, ensuring accurate trade representation to match our internal risk bookings.

The Retrievals group is responsible for affirming and confirming that trades are agreed with counterparties, economic terms of the transactions are agreed and that we have sign off / exchange the legal documents produced by the drafting group.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibility for performance of various functions within the team as allocated
Organize own day to day tasks per functional procedures to ensure all priority tasks are completed to deadline specifically using the appropriate systems/tools
Review weekly figures against designated metrics and provide status to Supervisor/Manager on reportable items where required
Identify risk issues, escalate where appropriate & provide assistance in resolving
Actively ensure upward, downward & peer communication of developments and issues, facilitate problem solving discussions
Deal with regular queries from internal / external clients
Communicate with immediate team members on day to day issues, business process improvements, ideas and results
Understand the function of the business supported and is able to consider the implications of their own actions within the group
Take responsibility for complex transactions and functions in the team
Provide coaching and assist with the development of the junior team members and contribute to their work
Carry out tasks related to the job in accordance with the instructions of the superior. Skills required (essential)

> Strong numeracy and analytical skills
> Graduate
> Operations experience and Good understanding of FX OTC products along with ISDA
> Accuracy, attention to detail, good organization skills
> Excellent verbal and written communication skills
> Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, and/or other relevant applications
> Stakeholder and Exchange management skills
> Ability to quickly digest new information and learn new businesses and processes
> Ability to think strategically and provide insight into how to improve existing business and technology processes
> Result-focused mindset
