Job Description & Summary: The Full Stack .NET Application Modernization Architect will be responsible for assessing, designing, and leading the modernization of legacy .NET applications into scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions. You will architect end-to-end solutions incorporating modern development frameworks, cloud services, and DevOps practices to accelerate business transformation

Responsibilities:

· Application Modernization Leadership: Define and execute modernization strategies for existing .NET applications including rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring, and rebuilding on cloud platforms. · Full Stack Architecture Design: Architect scalable full stack .NET web applications using modern frameworks (.NET Core/.NET 7+, ASP.NET MVC/Core, Blazor), frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js), and RESTful APIs for cloud deployment. · Cloud Solution Architecture: Design secure, resilient, and scalable cloud-native solutions primarily on platforms such as Azure and AWS, utilizing cloud PaaS/SaaS services, containers, and serverless architectures. · Microservices & API Management: Lead decomposition of monolithic applications into microservices, implement API gateways, and design service communication patterns. · DevOps & CI/CD Automation: Drive adoption of automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline. · Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize application performance, availability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments. · Security & Compliance: Ensure implementations adhere to security best practices, governance, and compliance requirements. · Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams; mentor engineers on cloud-native coding, architecture patterns, and modernization best practices. · Documentation & Training: Develop comprehensive documentation and provide knowledge transfer sessions to stakeholders.

Mandatory skill sets: · 8+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in full stack .NET application design and development. · Extensive expertise in modern Microsoft technology stack (.NET Core/.NET 7+, ASP.NET Core MVC, C#). · Strong front-end experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. · Proven experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives on Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms. · Deep understanding of designing microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and API management. · Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service). · Skilled in CI/CD pipeline creation and management (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). · Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, AWS CloudFormation). · Knowledge of security standards and implementation of secure application architectures. · Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred skill sets:

· Microsoft certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate. · Experience with serverless technologies (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda). · Familiarity with database modernization including SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and NoSQL databases. · Experience with monitoring and application performance tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, New Relic). · Understanding of event-driven architecture with messaging platforms (Azure Service Bus, Kafka).
