The Production Designer supports the Sr. Production Manager, with a strong focus on the customer experience in our fast-growing fleet of stores, and ecommerce platform. They are a digital design expert working with the entire creative and project management team to produce customer facing marketing materials across multiple channels. Key roles and responsibilities include:
Creative Production
- Is a key production design and creative resource providing support as needed for print, email, website, social, HTML5, digital advertising, store signage and media projects for a $50+ million marketing spend.
- Build print ready mechanicals, processing data for inputs (Mail Merge – Photoshop/ Data Merge – InDesign)
- Helps manage workflow and creative production for the entire creative department, including the studio and outside agency teams.
- Works with the most advanced digital automation and AI tools to expedite creation, versioning and refinement of creative assets.
- Receives job requests from Sr. Production Manager, project managers, merchandising inputs and requirements and interprets and produces leveraging internal and external resources as needed.
- Manages standards, process, versioning, delivery and distribution for finished projects.
- Troubleshoots and provides innovative solutions to production inefficiencies to ensure that all work is high quality and that the process is always improving.
- Collect, preflight and final files for delivery.
- Advises outside and inside resources and is the technical resource and go-to for the entire department.
Asset Management
- Efficiently manages the delivery and execution of the content created via a $1+ million-dollar production budget.
- Manages files, metadata and delivery for 1000’s of photos and videos to support digital, catalog, online, print, TV, social and media needs.
- Manages photo studio retouching, planning, on set production, digital tech, file management and other roles as needed.
- Manages the outputs of product turn-in, shot lists and the asset master lists for shoots and ensures that the information is managed efficiently.
- Ensures the organization’s content is organized and executed to accomplish the goals of business across all activities and channels.
- Manages the post-production, delivery, organization and execution of creative including photography influencer content and social media assets.
- Assists in the management of digital asset management (DAM) systems, naming conventions, standards and processes to continue to support the teams’ needs.
Requirements
- Industry experience in print production
- Near-expert level of understanding with the following Adobe Creative Cloud applications: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Figma and Acrobat.
- Working knowledge of After Effects, Premiere Pro and Animate
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Bonus points for working knowledge of JavaScript, AppleScript, Python, HTML5
- Experience in a digital space – web, email, organic social and paid media
- Experience in prompting AI tools such as Chat GPT, Midjourney and Firefly
- Experience with digital automation and versioning tools
- Experience in processing print files for press (preflight, QC, etc.)
- Experience in working with die lines in print
- Knowledge of image formats, file compression, and optimization
- Problem solver, detail oriented, organized and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time
