**We invite you to attend our upcoming Job Fair on Monday, September 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Applicants will have the opportunity to meet directly with supervisors and participate in a one-on-one interview.  Please review the job description below. Location: 1345 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta GA 30309

Please park in the garage and then make your way to Mershon Hall located right next to the parking garage. There will be signs on site to point you to the building. Attendees parking will be validated.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: Garden Lights Seasonal Associate will provide support in the Smores, Cashiers, Private Events and Beverage areas. This is a temporary role, the season will begin around October 7th, to January 11th.

Responsibilities:

Smores / Hot Cocoa Production & Operations

  • Produces smores and hot cocoa by assembling ingredients according to specifications.
  • Strictly follows assembly guidelines to ensure uniformity
  • Maintains the fire pit to ensure that smores can be made. Adds wood and stirs the fire as needed
  • Conducts quality control checks.
  • Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Understands how to use the fire control equipment that is accessible for each fire pit
  • Responsible for monitoring guests’ activities near the fire pits
  • Ques line entry while providing a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service
  • Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels and reporting findings to management
  • Conserves resources by using supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Sells individual smores kits. 
  • Ability to calculate sales.
  • Provides excellent service throughout selling process to serve customer needs.
  • Obtains and submits orders through Square POS system.
  • Utilizes upselling techniques to maximize profit.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and reporting issues to management.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Cashier

  • Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Registers sales on Square POS system by inputting items and totaling customers’ purchases.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions.
  • Provides pricing information by answering questions.
  • Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Event Runners

  • Provide support to all private events and food and beverage outlets
  • Replenishes product and equipment as needed to bars
  • Assists with opening setup and closing duties   
  • Relay key information to bartenders, event leads and captains as needed

Other Responsibilities

  • Communicate efficiently and effectively across various Garden departments
  • Adhere to all Garden and department standards, policies, and procedures
  • Work and interact professionally with all levels of management and staff of the Garden
  • Work in a team environment to execute both private and public events at the Garden

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with square POS preferred
  • Effective communication to team members and management 
  • Able to lift chairs, tables, product and relocate to various areas throughout the Garden
  • Must be able to work independently as well as on a team environment
  • Must be a self-motivated individual
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to change
  • Creative problem solving and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and professionally with vendors and clients
  • Personable with a positive attitude
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and be able to report to work on a changing schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking 90% of the time
  • Position routinely requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.  
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
