The Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center is seeking a motivated Research Technician I to support ongoing pre-clinical studies in spinal cord injury repair under the direction of Mariajose Metcalfe. The candidate will assist with rodent surgeries, provide daily post-surgical care, deliver therapeutics, and perform behavioral assessments and analyses. The ideal candidate will work well in a collaborative environment, communicate clearly, maintain thorough, accurate records, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. There will be opportunities to learn histological, biochemical, and molecular techniques to investigate cellular changes after injury. This is a grant funded position with continued employment contingent on grant renewals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience with interest in spinal cord injury repair.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$32.17Target Compensation Minimum:
$21.45Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
