Assistant Coach, Wrestling (PT)

Job Summary

Drexel University is seeking a qualified candidate for a Part-time Assistant Wrestling Coach. This position will assist the wrestling program/Coach with the organizing, planning and coaching of the wrestling team. The ideal candidate is a former collegiate wrestler who is looking for a career in college coaching and is interested in assisting the coaching staff in all aspects of running a Division I Wrestling program.

Essential Functions

• Assist the Wrestling team during practices and competition.
• Assist with student-athlete athletic and academic development.
• Identify and recruit prospective student-athletes.
• Assist the head coach with other duties to ensure the success of the program such as fundraising, operations, and logistics. 
• Follow all University, Athletic Department, NCAA, and CAA rules and policies.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Former collegiate wrestler or coach.

• Typically standing, walking
• Typically bending, crouching, stooping
• Typically running, climbing
• Lifting demands ≤ 50lbs

Additional Information

This is a Part-Time Per Diem position classified as Non-exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
