Trustfull is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated FinOps Engineer to join our finance team. As a FinOps Engineer, you will take the lead in optimizing cloud costs, managing budgets, and driving financial accountability for our cloud resources. Your expertise will contribute to our overall financial strategy, helping us to ensure that IT investments align with business goals while maximizing resource efficiency.

Your role will involve collaboration with engineering and operations teams, implementing best practices for cloud cost management, and analyzing usage patterns to provide actionable insights. Responsibilities

  • Analyze and forecast cloud usage and spending, providing insights and recommendations to optimize cloud resources and improve overall efficiency.
  • Develop and implement cost allocation strategies and budgetary controls for cloud expenditures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for resource provisioning, tagging, and usage monitoring.
  • Create dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators related to cloud spend and resource utilization.
  • Provide training and support to teams on cloud cost management principles and tools.
  • Continuously monitor cloud spending trends and conduct value assessments to ensure return on investment on cloud expenditures.
  • Work with procurement and finance teams to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for cloud services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance-related role, preferably with a focus on cloud cost management or FinOps.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cost management tools
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and developing financial metrics.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and dashboarding purposes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
