The Role

This position will be responsible for the Accounting function in the local office and liaison with the HQ finance team based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for timely update of books of accounts, preparation and accurate reporting of financial matters such as management reports, financial statements, Coordinate with Auditors for various Audits - Stat Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, IFC Audit & others, preparation of MIS reports and update variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, EVA, Corporate tax and GST reporting, audit schedules, intercompany reconciliation as well as checking of payment records.
Required to perform credit review for vendor selection, as well as liaise with auditors and tax consultants on year end and taxation matters.
Work closely with various consultants - tax consultants, due diligence consultants, Corp Sec consultants, and other Govt Authorities for compliance submission purposes.
Liaise with finance team based in Singapore headquarters for monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities and internally with various operational departments to perform job role.
Support entity accountant for overall timely completion of book closing, compliance and reporting

Degree in Accounting or its equivalent in Finance / Economics.
Minimum 4 to 6 years’ of working experience in finance operations.
Someone who is hands-on with good eyes for details, able to communicate effectively to various parties and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Able to communicate in local language to communicate with local stakeholders and English to liaise with Headquarters in Singapore.
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software is a pre-requisite and experience with an SAP system would be advantageous.
