LotusWorks is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical QA/QC Inspector to join our team in Goodnight, TX. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and compliance of all electrical systems and installations on-site in alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in electrical inspections across MV/LV systems, strong knowledge of NEC and IEC/IEEE standards, and the ability to collaborate across construction, commissioning, and EHS functions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the project-specific Electrical QA/QC plan, ensuring alignment with IEC/IEEE standards, NFPA 70 (NEC), local codes, and client requirements.
- Review design drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment submittals prior to construction.
- Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) covering electrical equipment such as MV/LV switchgear, UPS, PDUs, generators, busways, grounding, lighting, fire alarm, and BMS interfaces.
- Coordinate and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Verify material deliveries, storage conditions, and traceability against approved documentation.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections on cable containment, terminations, labeling, and installation quality.
- Oversee field testing including IR testing, continuity, hipot, torque, and ground system validation.
- Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Maintain organized QA/QC documentation, test results, and turnover packages for client review and audits.
- Interface daily with construction, commissioning, and EHS teams to resolve issues and manage quality punch items.
- Ensure calibration and certification of all inspection tools and instruments.
- Deliver toolbox talks and training sessions for electricians and subcontractors on QA/QC standards and procedures.
- Attend and contribute to weekly quality meetings, audit planning, and project reporting.
- Support commissioning efforts through Levels 1-4, validating redlines and pre-functional checklists.
- Assist in compiling as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and project close-out deliverables.
- Lead or support internal and external ISO 9001 quality audits.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
- ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System knowledge.
- NFPA 70E / Arc Flash Safety Training.
- Minimum 5+ years in electrical QA/QC roles on large-scale construction or commissioning projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical code compliance, QA documentation, and test methods.
- Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and submittals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and QA/QC management platforms is a plus.
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
- Electrical Inspection Certification (e.g., NICET, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- NEBOSH or OSHA 30 Certification (safety awareness).
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
