Mission
The Planning Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring the overall project schedule for the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Project. This role ensures effective planning, progress measurement, reporting, and forecasting to support timely and cost-effective project delivery. The Planning Manager will lead the planning team, coordinate with technical disciplines, and provide strategic input to management for decision-making.
Main Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and monitor the integrated project schedule, ensuring alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.

Establish planning procedures, processes, and reporting tools in accordance with Colas Rail standards.

Lead the planning team in preparing baseline programmes, progress updates, forecasts, and recovery schedules.

Monitor project performance against baseline schedules and milestones; identify variances and propose corrective actions.

Prepare progress measurement reports, dashboards, and earned value analysis for management and client updates.

Support risk management by integrating mitigation strategies into the programme.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure accurate planning inputs.

Ensure alignment with subcontractors, joint venture partners, and client representatives on schedule-related matters.

Participate in claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) analysis, and contractual reporting.

Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to planning and project controls staff.
Profile
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project planning, with at least 5 years in rail, infrastructure, or large-scale transport projects.

Strong expertise in Primavera P6 (mandatory) and other project planning tools.

Solid understanding of project controls, earned value management, and critical path analysis.

Experience in planning for design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

Knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract standards is an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English (oral and written).
