The Internal Auditor – Data Security & AI makes sure bunq’s data handling, cybersecurity, and AI systems always live up to those expectations: secure, ethical, and compliant.

Through risk-based audits, you’ll dive deep into data security, AI governance, privacy (GDPR), and compliance standards (such as: PCI DSS, CIS, DORA, PSD2, AI Act). You’ll surface risks before they ever reach our users, and push for solutions that fix root causes — not just patch symptoms. On top of that, you’ll enhance and automate our System Checker, taking it to the next level.

As our Internal Auditor – Data Security & AI, you’ll:

1. Spot and prevent risks before they matter – identify systemic data and AI issues early and recommend bold, lasting fixes.
2. Turn findings into action – make sure every risk results in measurable improvements, tracked and closed fast.
3. Use AI to raise the bar – embed AI into audits themselves, from smart analysis to predictive risk reporting.

Requirements

• You have an excellent understanding of data security & privacy regulations and frameworks (such as: GDPR, CIS, ISO, AI Act, PCI DSS) and can design audit plans.
• You have proven skills in running risk-based audits on data & AI systems. (e.g. audits on encryption practices, access management, change management, vulnerability management or AI model governance)
• You are familiar with using AI in audit workflows and eager to grow into deep expertise.
• You’re an excellent communicator and speak English fluently.

＄ Gross monthly salary between €6,790 - €7,253 + 8% holiday allowance (paid out annually or monthly — your choice)
