Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work as the leader of a team that is responsible for carrying out integration and development tasks on a first-of-its-kind EUV reticle inspection tool at the customer site. They will work closely with the customer and with the California based engineering team to perform on-tool tasks, troubleshoot issues, and to assist in planning activities.

The selected candidate will:

  • Coordinate work with the customer and headquarters team, and serve as the continuous KLA presence on-site for this project
  • Execute the integration and development plan for the first tool(s), in tight coordination with the California team
  • Participate in planning activities with the California team, providing input on customer needs and the situation on-site
  • Build and manage a team of engineers who are responsible for day-to-day work on the tool, and work with engineers visiting from headquarters.
  • Troubleshoot and react to integration and development issues, in coordination with the California team.
  • Be the primary point of contact for the California engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience introducing new equipment into a semiconductor manufacturing environment
  • Experience coordinating the integration of a large system made up of a multiple complex subassemblies
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment design, including vacuum systems
  • Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, physics, applied optics or similar disciplines desired

    Regular travel to the United States will be required
