Raytheon is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering (SE) Advisor with a strong background in Testing Optimization. They will support the design, development, and execution of advanced testing strategies across complex hardware /software systems. This role will support system reliability, performance, and enhance efficiency while maintaining high quality results. This hybrid role is out of Andover, MA.
What You will Do:
The Systems Engineering Advisor will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding less experienced engineers in their professional development. Serving a subject matter expert, the Advisor will work across multiple programs and IRAD to ensure robust secure solutions are verified and validated in a fast-paced agile environment. They will work collaboratively with the product line Chief Engineer, Technical Director, Architect, Integrated Product Team Leads, and other discipline Team Leads to ensure all efforts achieve their objectives.
They will drive a scaled agile systems process working with product owners and functional leads to reduce time to market to meet our customers' ever-changing requirements. This individual will have a proven history of pushing teams toward new and innovative processes, tools, and a quality focused culture. The SE Advisor is a former technical leader whose roles and responsibilities include derivation of requirements, architecture design, test planning and execution, implementing agile processes and tools, leading bids and proposal work, and working across the engineering functions to achieve program objectives.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Experience offering technical advice, support, and insights to help mentees navigate challenges and improve their skills
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 14 years of relevant experience.
14+ years of prior leadership experience within the systems engineering discipline
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and individual contributors across multiple work site locations.
Experience in mentoring and providing career development direction for engineers, as well as coordinating program staffing needs and skills to meet demand.
Experience in Test Systems Engineering or Testing Optimization, including test hardware/software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance within production/manufacturing environments.
