About Position:

The Lead Events Cook is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of all culinary aspects of private events held on site at The Coopers Tavern. Private events can range from “happy hour” appetizers to plated wedding receptions. Applicants must possess high organization skills, cooking knowledge, and experience serving large groups in a variety of service styles. This position requires a flexible schedule that is driven by event bookings. This position requires the ability to work independently as well as with others, including our front of house events teams, back of house restaurant team, restaurant Sous Chef, and restaurant Executive Chef.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead kitchen role
• Professional communication skills, oral and written
• Professional kitchen experience, including working a hot line and grill is required
• Experience in full service restaurant is required
• Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds while walking up and down stairs
• Flexible schedule
• Task-driven individual
