Senior Copywriter Lead

What you will do
As a Senior Copywriter Lead, you will oversee strategic content initiatives, drive innovation in copy and messaging, and champion content excellence across teams. You’ll lead mentorship and talent development, shape content strategy across initiatives, and manage high-impact content programmes.

• Act as a strategic ambassador for content within the organisation.
• Partner on strategic planning with other creative leaders.
• Work with the Content Marketing team to shape editorial strategy and creative messaging across channels.

What we look for:
Required 

• Ability to think strategically and act tactically in order to align content with customer needs.
• Armed with a strong copy background, you’ll have experience in ideation, managing deadlines and deliverables, overseeing the content output for different clients and writing for a variety of different content formats.
• Strong team player with leadership acumen. 
• Unrivalled ability to prioritise workload and deliver multiple projects at any given time.
• Extensive experience in strategic content creation and leadership.
• Proven ability to drive innovation and excellence in copywriting.
• Strategic mindset with experience shaping content strategy.
• Ability to manage complex, high-impact programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Have a demonstrated understanding of the digital marketing landscape and advise on the best approach for digital communications for each project.
• Work with the wider team of designers, creative success specialists and management to further the success of Global Creative and – consequently – Johnson Controls as a whole.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communication, marketing or related field.
