The Analog Garage: Located in the heart of downtown Boston, the Analog Garage is ADI’s Research and Advanced Development Center, empowering the company by pioneering breakthrough technologies. The Algorithmic Solutions Group within the Analog Garage researches and develops cutting-edge, efficient algorithms to convert data into intelligence that addresses society’s most pressing challenges. The team’s expertise spans fields such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, signal processing, computer vision, computational linguistics, communication systems, and other areas of electrical engineering and computer science, creating solutions with real-world impact.

Job opportunity: The Algorithmic Solutions Group is seeking a motivated researcher to develop innovative solutions at the intersection of cutting-edge AI algorithms and ADI technologies. In this role, you will:

  • Create novel algorithms specialized for applications relevant to Analog Devices.
  • Develop software simulations and analyze performance of algorithms.
  • Lead hardware prototyping efforts.
  • Work with other researchers and engineers, inside and outside the Algorithmic Solutions Group, to connect our work with our mission statement.
  • Stay abreast of state-of-the-art algorithms, and research advances beyond the state of the art in areas relevant to Analog Devices.

Qualifications:

  • PhD degree with a concentration in one of these fields: digital/analog/mixed circuit design, computer architecture, AI accelerators, power electronics, or signal processing.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the following areas:
    • Modern AI architectures and models such as transformers, diffusion models, graph neural networks, multimodal models, etc.
    • Training paradigms such as contrastive learning, energy minimization, reinforcement learning, meta-/few-shot learning, etc.
    • Developing, deploying, and optimizing AI models using frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or cloud-based AI platforms.
    • Model deployment on constrained hardware by leveraging quantization, pruning, distillation, increased sparsity, etc.
  • Strong publication record in top conferences and/or journals

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $166,800 to $229,350.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
