Global Delivery is a critical part of the business operations at State Street. We have approximately 30,000 staff in locations around the world including our regional hubs in EMEA, APAC and North America.

Functionally, we are the backbone and nerve center supporting the entire investment servicing lifecycle across our key asset classes - Asset Management, Asset Owners, and Insurance.

Global Delivery APAC is an integral part of our global operations delivering custody, accounting, fund administration, alternatives, middle office, transfer agency and on-boarding services across multiple client segments, investment structures and domiciles.

We are looking to hire for APAC Head of Fund Accounting & Administration located in Fukuoka Japan which will be part of the GD APAC Management team leading a team of approximately 1,000 employees across our locations in Mainland China, Japan, Australia and Taiwan for Fund Accounting & Administration.

What you will be responsible for:

Critical business priorities:

Improve quality of service delivery within the business to our clients and at the same time improve productivity.
Drive transformation objectives for Fund Accounting & Administration.
Develop and evolve the operating model.
Adhere to and improve the control environment and productivity.
Build better end-to-end production across Global Delivery processing teams and hub locations.
Effectively partner with Global Delivery, IT and Client side of the organization

As Head of APAC Fund Accounting and Administration, Managing Director you will:

Focus on client outcomes, problem solving, cooperating and communicating with the rest of the organization to achieve shared success.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of NAV calculations, Financial Reporting, Investor reporting and Reg reporting across all platforms.
Able to process feedback and develop meaningful actions to resolve identified challenges along reasonable timescales.
Accountable for regulatory compliance of the business housed in the State Street Trust & Banking legal entity.
Actively manage executive global stakeholders across Global HUBS, Global Delivery and Institutional Services. Partnering with other hubs on best practice sharing, optimal operating model
Ensure business continuity planning and execution. Develop a scalable, robust operating model that delivers resiliency. Strategic interactions with key stakeholders and partners to ensure continued operations.
Identify and develop opportunities for transformation and capacity creation. Drive productivity and operational effectiveness.
Develop and lead a large team, fostering high performance and creating a destination for top talent. Develop effective modes of communication, delegation, talent development, employee engagement, and succession planning.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills
15 years Financial services experience, Knowledge of regulatory environment.
Significant experience in managing and delivering fund accounting and/or financial reporting service for mutual funds.
Solid business unit management experience on complex clients requiring a high level of client interaction.
Wide-ranging knowledge of the financial industry, in particular investment management
