Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director Sustainability and Cluster Team (Operations) to obtain and keep environmental & mining permits (ICPE).
  • Work closely with the Director Sustainability and the Cluster Team (Operations) on land management.
  • Understand the regulatory and permitting framework.
  • Coordinate environmental impact assessments or other environmental studies.
  • Be responsive to local environmental conditions and reduction of adverse environmental impacts such as water, biodiversity, emissions, waste & pollution and land use.
  • Support the sites in compliance of environmental emissions management.
  • Engage with different stakeholders in the permitting processes and throughout the lifecycle of site. Play a pro-active role in community engagement.
  • Provide input for and implement global programs and KPIs. Work with the global Sustainability Team on projects and case studies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in sustainability/environmental management or a similar field.
  • Experience working with governments, authorities (DREAL) is recommended.
  • Proficient in French and English. Other languages are an asset.
