Newcomer Funeral Service Group, proudly founded right here in Topeka, is seeking Support Staff who embody our core values of Excellence, Trust, Care, and Growth to help families honor their loved ones with dignity and grace.
As part of our support team, you'll have a home base but the opportunity to serve across all four of our Topeka funeral homes, wherever families need you most. This flexible, community-focused role is ideal for:

Qualifications
What You’ll Need to Succeed in This Role
- Education & Experience: A high school diploma or GED, plus at least 3 months of related experience in a service or support role.
- Physical Abilities:
- Comfortable working around regulated substances in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Able to assist with lifting, pushing, or pulling objects (with help) up to 600 pounds.
- Capable of occasional bending, stooping, and carrying items up to 30 pounds over short distances.
- Manual dexterity for light clerical tasks.
- Transportation: Must be able to travel locally using standard transportation methods.
- Professional Appearance: Adherence to our conservative dress code policy is required.
- Driving Requirements: A valid driver’s license is essential. Driving records may be reviewed annually, and any incidents should be reported to management promptly.
- Teamwork & Communication: Strong communication skills and a self-motivated attitude are key. You’ll be working closely with a team to support families with care and professionalism.
- Flexible Scheduling: Hours vary based on service needs and may include any day of the week. While we can’t guarantee a set number of hours, we offer flexibility and meaningful work.
