We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Lead to champion our organisation’s compliance culture and ensure we meet all regulatory obligations across our diverse service areas. About the Role
As the Risk and Compliance Lead, you will design, implement, and continuously improve risk management frameworks and compliance systems. You will provide expert advice, lead internal audits, and deliver training to build a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and review of compliance frameworks and risk management processes.
- Monitor and audit services to ensure adherence to the National Quality Framework (NQF), WHS standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve compliance matters, complaints, and incidents.
- Maintain and coordinate the organisational risk register.
- Prepare the organisation for audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews.
- Deliver compliance and risk training to build staff capability.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- Promote a proactive risk culture and encourage incident reporting.
- Prepare governance reports for the Executive and Board.
- Oversee business continuity and crisis management planning.
- Monitor third-party and contract compliance obligations.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
- Significant experience in a risk and compliance role within a regulatory environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
- High attention to detail and strong time management.
Desired:
- Knowledge of the National Law, National Regulations, and WHS standards in the childcare sector.
- Experience in related sectors such as aged care or community services.
Role Conditions
- Australian Residency or unrestricted work visa.
- National Police Clearance (within 3 months, or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Card (or willingness to obtain).
