We are excited to offer an internship opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Technician in the commercial construction industry. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in interpreting blueprints, scheduling projects, gathering key information, and preparing documents. The intern will work closely with architects, contractors, outside sales representatives, and tapered estimators, developing valuable skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment. While prior experience is beneficial, candidates with a passion for learning and a basic understanding of Microsoft applications and CAD software are encouraged to apply.

- Assist in the interpretation of architectural blueprints and project documentation to understand the basics of roofing & wall projects.
- Provide support in project scheduling and contribute to maintaining project schedules under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Collaborate with team members to gather key project information and contribute to the documentation process.
- Learn and contribute to the preparation of CAD drawings and documents with guidance from experienced team members.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other team members to learn about effective communication and collaboration in a professional setting.
- Develop basic proficiency in Microsoft applications and CAD software through hands-on learning and mentorship.
- Gain exposure to Revit and the basics of construction projects, if applicable to the team's projects.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Currently pursuing a degree in CAD technology, architecture, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for the commercial roofing industry and eagerness to learn.
