PsychPhys is seeking an experienced Billing Officer & Accounts Clerk to join our established Finance Team. This unique role offers variety with a combination of Customer service, Invoicing and administration responsibilities. You will join a small team with the position starting as Part time, Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays, with the hope to build to full time as the organisation continues to grow. Operational hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm. This position is located at our Head Office in Notting Hill. This location has onsite parking and is accessible via public transport.
The Company
PsychPhys is an Australian Primary Health Care Practice; and the only program of its kind within Australia. We have an expansive footprint spanning across some of the largest single low socioeconomic communities across Australia.
Our programs have been developed to allow individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning/Developmental Delays, Cognitive Impairments, and/or Mental Health concerns the opportunity to Shine!
We deliver our programs to individuals between the age of 0- 4yrs - 11yrs; 12yrs -21yrs; and 21+yrs. We focus on the provision of support services to government and non-government agencies, schools, Treating Health Professionals, and individuals/families.

The Candidate

- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines

- Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Show adaptability and flexibility to changing work environments and requirements
- Have advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and database applications and experience working with Xero
- Adaptable to change and open to Learning new process
Customer service Responsibilities
- Champion all calls referred to Accounts department
- Respond and action phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner
- Promote a professional, happy; and can do attitude to our clients and clinical teams
- Manage accounts email inbox and ensure all emails are actioned promptly
Accounts Receivable Responsibilities
- Respond to accounts receivable duties in line with company policies and procedures
- Raise & process payments for programs and services -same day processing
- Collect phone payments where required
- Timely resolution of client invoicing/financial enquiries
- Manage Accounts email inbox and ensure all emails are actioned promptly
The ideal candidate will hold the following
- A satisfactory Police Criminal Check dated within 6 months of commencement.
- A valid Employee Working with Children’s Check.
- A current Driver’s License.
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination.
- Minimum 1 year working in Bookkeeping
Desirable, and open do candidates without below
- Experience working within the Healthcare Industry
- Experience with NDIS Behavior Support Programs and Services
- Experience with Medicare
- Experience with daily invoicing in Health Programs and services
- Strong phone etiquette
- Someone who can work with minimal supervision
- Someone who values and understands the need for quick response and timely payment processes
- Position is open and ready for immediate start.
