Mō te tūnga | The Role
As Academic Coordinator, you will provide high-level academic and administrative support to ensure academic and operational excellence. This role involves coordinating programme and committee documentation, managing timetables, supporting quality assurance processes and assisting with monitoring learner outcomes.
You’ll also be a central point for communication between schools - supporting both staff and students to ensure a positive academic environment.
This is a dynamic role - ideal for someone who is highly organised, adaptable and thrives in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time permanent role and will see you work across our campuses in Auckland - CBD, New Lynn and Manukau. There will be occasional travel to our campuses in Hamilton and Tauranga from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic coordination support to the Group Academic Director and Heads of School
- Manage programme documentation, committee papers and accreditation requirements
- Support timetabling, academic calendars, and cross-programme alignment
- Assist with quality assurance processes, audits, monitoring, and reporting
- Track learner outcomes, survey data, and withdrawals to support retention strategies
- Support onboarding and induction for new academic staff
- Collaborate with learner support teams to coordinate academic and pastoral workshops
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as required
He kōrero mōu | About You
- A tertiary qualification in Education, Business or a related field
- 2+ years’ experience in academic administration or a similar role in Education
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Knowledge of the NZ tertiary education sector
- NZ Full Drivers Licence
