Learning & Development Specialist (Maternity Leave)

Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Learning & Development Specialist to join our team as a maternity cover. In this role, you will design, implement, and deliver learning initiatives that enhance employee capabilities, support growth, and drive organizational success. You will collaborate closely with managers, HR partners, and subject-matter experts to identify learning needs and translate them into engaging, impactful training solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training programs (classroom, virtual, and e-learning) tailored to organizational needs.
• Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities across teams.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
• Support leadership and professional development initiatives.
• Manage and track the annual L&D budget expenditure.
• Measure training effectiveness and continuously improve learning & development solutions based on feedback and outcomes.
• Maintain and manage HRIS & Udemy systems.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning across the company.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and integrate innovative learning methods and tools.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an L&D Specialist or in a similar learning & development role.
• Background in leadership development or talent management programs.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and data-driven people analytics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• An analytical mindset with the ability to measure learning impact and ROI.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborative approach, with experience working across functions and with leadership teams.
