Glenealy School has a vacancy for a Temporary Educational Assistant in the Learning Diversity department.
We are seeking an Education Assistant (Learning Diversity) to join our exceptional team of highly qualified and experienced staff. The Education Assistant in the Learning Diversity team is an integral part of our teaching team and will work closely with the learning diversity coordinator and class teachers to support personalised learning for all children.
Key Responsibilities
The successful person will be able to demonstrate the following professional abilities:
- Will be able to show initiative
- Can work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to support students in their learning, acting as a coach
- Have the ability to communicate using a high level of verbal and written English
- Be able to prepare materials for planned programmes as required
- Ability to monitor student responses to learning tasks through a range of assessment activities, providing feedback to teachers
- Adept in supporting teachers by preparing, presenting and displaying students’ work; photocopying and fulfilling other tasks to support the learning programme and administrative duties such as filing, record keeping, managing class lists, etc.
- Provide support at off-campus activities such as educational visits, excursions and camps
- Approximately 80% of the time in this role will be spent working with students.
- Requirements
- Applicants should be fluent in both spoken and written English
- Previous experience as a general or learning diversity EA within an international school setting, or other relevant school-based experience is desirable
Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
