To support the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) in line with COSO framework, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and organizational policies. The role involves performing detailed reviews of financial processes, assessing control risks, and ensuring timely remediation of deficiencies to maintain the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
- Assist in designing and documenting internal controls, including risk control matrices (RCM), process flowcharts, and policies.
- Perform walkthroughs and testing of controls to ensure compliance with ICFR requirements and identify control gaps.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
- Support the preparation of ICFR reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure financial reporting processes adhere to IFRS and internal control standards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements from ICFR perspective.
- Work closely with external auditors during ICFR testing and statutory audits.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments of financial processes, identifying high-risk areas requiring enhanced controls.
- Provide recommendations for mitigating risks and strengthening the overall control environment.
- Act as a key point of contact for process owners to provide guidance on internal controls and compliance with ICFR.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with ICFR requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Stay updated on changes to IFRS and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely adaptation of policies and practices.
Education:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 3-5 years in a Big 4 audit firm.
- Strong experience in ICFR implementation, financial reporting, and audit processes.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and COSO framework.
- Proficient in using financial systems (e.g., Core banking, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and audit tools.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
Soft Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
