Position Description

This position is for a platform management engineer for Apigee.


We are looking for colleague with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive solutions. The role is primarily responsible to support Apigee platform nd to end. The role includes proxy deployments, maintenance, plant stability, troubleshooting and enhance/create new tools/scripts to automate the existing process and bring new ideas and innovation.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work with and without or minimal supervision.


Exp - 4+ years


Responsibilities


* Apigee plant end to end ownership, platform stability and monitoring.

* Proxy deployments and maintenance for applications

* Proxy lifecycle management

* Upgrades for Apigee and underlying infra.

* Troubleshooting for application or prod issues



Additional responsibilities may include:

* Actively provide data for and participate in root cause analysis.

* Share knowledge globally between various teams.

* Analyze systems and make recommendations to prevent possible incidents.

* Strive for continuous improvement and make recommendations. Skills:


* Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Science, or related field

* 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, or related field

* Hands-on experience on Windows / Linux environments

* Good experience with Apigee, Zookeeper, Cassandra Setup and administration/support. Basic Programming and scripting of operational administration tasks python /shell

* Working knowledge of Shell scripting, APIs, Microservices, nginx.

* Understanding of cloud-based architecture, technologies, middleware technologies like IIS/Tomcat/Apache. (good to have)

* Experience with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Proxies, firewalls etc)

* Good knowledge of Certificate Setup and Administration.

* Analyzing and Troubleshooting skills relevant to debug issues and provide tactical and strategic solutions around the same.
