  • 2 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience in Engineering Productivity and Developer Tools.
  • Experience in Test Automation and Test Automation Framework
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

Engineering Infrastructure and Operations (EIO) covers all the engineering productivity aspects of Aluminium and ChromeOS. We are responsible for the build, test, and release infrastructure of Aluminium and ChromeOS.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Write and review code to implement engineering productivity systems.
  • Build continuous build/test/release infrastructure.
  • Contribute to documentation or educational content based on system updates and user feedback.
  • Triage/debug/track/resolve issues to maintain system operational excellence.
