This is a paid, year-round internship with 40 hours/week during the summer months, and part-time work the rest of the year. A successful candidate may start immediately as part-time, and then increase to full-time hours during the summer (May thru August).

Position Description
Performs entry-level administrative or technical support work for the Financial Reporting Branch of the Financial Management Division. Work involves performing a wide range of administrative, technical, and/or office support work for the division. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.
Essential Duties:
- Assist with audit preparation by researching documentation, gathering samples, and organizing financial records.
- Support data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks using advanced Excel.
- Help build and manage forms and workflows using Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Contribute to the creation of PowerPoint presentations.
- Collaborate with accounting staff to improve documentation processes and digital organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.
Other Conditions:
- Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include
a trade/vocational school.
Preferred Qualifications:
Junior or senior student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Competencies:
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, SharePoint, and Power Automate
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
- Able to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities
- Comfortable working with auditors and handling sensitive financial information
- A creative thinker who enjoys using technology to improve efficiency
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs
- Sitting/Standing - prolonged periods of time
- Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading
