BGIS is currently seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist to join the team in Remote, US.
The Sr. Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying the sourcing needs of clients, developing supplier relationships, utilizing strategic approaches, and obtaining competitive bids. The Sr. Sourcing Specialist demonstrates BGIS values in communication with clients and team members.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Sourcing Planning and Strategy
- Engage stakeholders to understand business requirement.
- Develop and recommend category plans for manager review.
- Implement category plan.
- Develop and recommend sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to the company and its clients.
- Implement sourcing strategy.
- Review and measure the effectiveness of the strategy.
- Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
Schedule Management
- Assist in planning and scheduling supplier business reviews and tracking progress of action items.
- Support the development and implementation of vendor performance improvement plans.
- Help prepare agenda content and presentations for BGIS client meetings.
- Contribute to other initiatives as assigned by the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
Vendor Management and Qualification
- Coordinate with vendors and sourcing team members to maintain consistent requirements.
- Support timely processing of vendor payments in collaboration with the finance team.
- Monitor work order closure timelines to ensure client expectations are met.
- Assist in vendor training and help analyze results to recommend improvements.
- Support negotiation efforts and cost-benefit analysis under guidance of the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
- Help track progress toward client goals and service level agreements.
Supplier Activities
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Execute end-to-end competitive bid process for assigned categories.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimum cost and maximum value.
- Identify and implement performance metrics to measure supplier performance.
- Measure and manage supplier performance.
- Report on supplier sustainability and performance for assigned categories.
- Negotiate, develop, implement, amend, and monitor supplier contractual agreements.
Best Practices Focus
- Complete vendor qualification, review and approve vendor set up and vendor information changes.
- Perform opportunities assessment activities and facilitates leverage across all client accounts.
- Review and approve purchase orders.
- Achieve improvements in operational efficiencies and cost savings as a result.
- Maintain in-depth and current category knowledge as well as knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and industry trends.
- Provide category and strategic sourcing subject matter expertise.
Knowledge And Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree, professional certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years performing job duties in a similar role.
- Proactive and positive client service orientation.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Maintains current knowledge of strategic sourcing requirements and practices.
- Ability to develop and execute category management strategies and plans.
- Collaborative approach and team spirit to build and manage relationships with various stakeholders.

- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Aptitude to develop and execute supplier contract agreements.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Quick learner in navigating proprietary databases.
- Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in Facility Management Services or related field.
- Basic understanding of Vendor Management principles and practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- High degree of business ethics and accountability.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.

BGIS is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. BGIS has different pay ranges for different work locations within the United States which allows us to pay team members competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.
The salary range for this exempt position in the US is $90,000-$95,000
A candidate’s salary offer is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
