Science and Biology Teacher SEK Dublin

SEK International School Dublin, located in Greystones, is seeking to appoint a Science and Biology Teacher to join our team. This is a temporary position with an expected start date in October 2025.

The successful candidate will contribute to the excellence and innovation of our International Baccalaureate programmes, inspiring students through inquiry-based learning and academic rigor.

Responsibilities:

The selected teacher will be responsible for:

• Teaching Sciences in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate.
• Teaching Biology in the Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate.
• Contributing to the academic and personal development of students in Secondary and High School stages.
• Supporting the mission and values of SEK International Schools through active participation in the school community.
  
  Requirements:
  1. Academic background
  
  • Degree in Biology or a related discipline (Chemistry, Physics).
    
    
  2. Professional experience
  
  • Previous teaching experience in international schools.
    
    
  • Training or experience within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
    
    
  3. Languages
  
  • Proficiency in English – minimum level C1 (CEFR).
    
  5. Skills and competencies
  
  • Dynamic and proactive teaching style.
    
    
  • Strong organizational skills.
    
    
  • Flexibility and adaptability in diverse learning environments.
