The Diebold Nixdorf Real Estate & Facilities team is seeking a Sr. Project Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and completion of projects within the global organization. Serving as the bridge between upper management, team members, and stakeholders, the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for delivering complex initiatives on time, within scope and budget.
Leads or coordinates project teams from design to delivery. Leverages knowledge, expertise and project management skills to direct team members, resolve issues and ensure achievement of project goals. Plans, organizes, secures and manages resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. Facilitates engagement of project team members and ensures all project phases are designed, executed and delivered in a manner that meets expectations. Facilitates cross-functional teams, ensuring execution of defined deliverables and driving key decisions.
- Project Planning and Initiation: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with organizational goals. Develop comprehensive project plans, with timeline, while ensuring resources and stakeholders are identified and aligned.
- Stakeholder Management: Identify all project stakeholders and maintain ongoing communication to manage expectations, gather requirements, and provide updates on progress and changes.
- Team Leadership: Assemble, motivate, and lead cross-functional project teams. Assign roles and responsibilities, resolve conflicts, support team development, and foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Estimate resources required (human, technical, and financial), and adjust plans as necessary to ensure project success.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Align project budgets with approval, track expenditures, manage variances, and ensure that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Timeline and Schedule Management: Develop and manage detailed project timelines, monitor progress against milestones, and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or resolve issues.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement contingency plans as necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and are aligned with client or organizational expectations.
- Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for project information. Prepare and present regular status reports, facilitate meetings, and communicate changes or challenges to stakeholders and team members.
- Problem Solving and Issue Resolution: Identify project issues promptly, develop solutions, and escalate critical challenges when necessary to maintain project momentum.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, meeting minutes, change logs, and post-project evaluations. Prepare project closure reports and lessons learned.
- Change Management: Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, or resources using appropriate verification techniques. Ensure that change requests are thoroughly assessed, documented, and communicated.
- Vendor and Third-Party Coordination: When necessary, manage relationships with external suppliers, consultants, or contractors, ensuring that their contributions align with project goals and standards.
- Project Closure: Oversee project completion, ensure all deliverables are provided and accepted, conduct post-implementation reviews, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Works with cross-functional project team members to define, sequence and estimate activities and duration.
- Supports and facilitates all phases of project execution.
- Monitors metrics and reports on progress, issues and status.
- Ensures consistency and adherence to company standards, processes and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: A professional certification is required as Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management. Experience in managing projects of varying sizes and complexity, as well as within multinational company, is essential.
- Proficiency in project management software
- Good business English skills (Written and spoken); second language desired (Spanish or Germany)
- Minimal travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified associate in project management (CAPM), PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.
- Continuous Improvement experience
- MS Project knowledge
Salary Range: $80,000 to $95,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including your qualifications, skills, competencies, geographic location, internal equity, and relevant experience.
