The Visual Intelligence Algorithms team seeks exceptional Interns with a background in computational photography algorithms. The primary role of this internship is to conduct research & development on novel enhancement technology for FB AR/VR cameras.

$7,650/month to $12,134/month + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. - Research, develop and prototype advanced algorithms in the domain of computational photography algorithms (image processing, machine learning and computer vision)
- Publish research results that are both publishable and have direct impact on Facebook products
- Currently has or in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields
- Experience in ML model training on computational photography (image restoration and enhancement such as denoising, super resolution, defocus deblur, etc.) and computer vision (segmentation, detection, tracking, etc.)
- Experience with training Generative AI visual models, such as image editing and video creation
- Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
- Intent to return to degree-program after completion of the internship/co-op
- A strong interest in theoretical and empirical research and for answering hard questions in research
- Ability to communicate complex research in a clear, concise and actionable manner
- Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by first authored publications at top-tier conferences such as CVPR/ECCV/ICCV, SIGGRAPH(Asia), NeurIPS/ ICLR/ICML etc
