POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, IT Operations will work to ensure the highest quality of IT support, with good communication skills while working with co-workers, the management team, managed service providers, and other support services. The position has accountability for resilience of the overall corporate network infrastructure, systems administration, IT service desk. Particular emphasis on corporate services that includes IT ticketing system, employee management system, and SharePoint administration. The Manager, IT Operations will provide support to center locations with solutioning and escalations and will need to be familiar with workflows and system integrations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT Management and Support:
- Oversee delivery of the Regent Technology Solutions “brand” to corporate and center partners.
- Implement solutions designed by IT Leadership, included but not limited to: Cloud models (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS); network strategies, cloud storage and backups, telephony, routers/switches/circuits, desktop solutions and peripherals, firewalls, WAN/LAN, cameras/DVRs, and vendor service providers/VARs, ITSM, file/app servers, data centers, Azure/AWS Cloud, DevOps, etc.
- Manage and monitor our Managed Service Provider (MSP) provider through definition of service levels for overall operations. This includes the help desk, data center, cloud and networks.
- Manage projects in the IT Operational area and provide support for overall IT initiatives.
- Ability to clearly communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Directly administer, configure, and maintain internal business applications to ensure availability and performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Monitor and manage application upgrades, patches, and system integrations.
Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify and implement automation and integration opportunities across IT systems to streamline operations.
- Support cross-departmental initiatives by optimizing workflows within applications.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards related to IT systems and data security.
- Ensure managed platforms align with established and ongoing cybersecurity best practices and Regent and Industry standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to enterprise applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more (5+) years in a similar role involving enterprise application management.
- Proven experience with platforms such as SharePoint, Fresh Service/ServiceNow/Jira, and financial systems.
- Experience in working with or overseeing a Managed Service Provider (MSP) P
- Demonstrate ability to participate and facilitate incident management, escalation, disaster recovery, assess risks and ensure system reliability
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Azure/365) administration and design
- Experience with process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) and system integrations.
- Experience with ticketing systems and Liquid programing language
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
