Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, information systems, information technology, Engineering or related technical field. Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, Engineering or related technical field preferred.
8 years’ IT experience with at least 5 years’ experience focused on cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
3 years’ experience managing hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services .
3 years’ experience managing cloud infrastructure supporting 1,000+ users across multiple geographic locations.
2 years’ experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
2 years’ experience with cloud migration projects to include virtual machine migration from on-premises to Azure, and technical expertise in Azure cloud services.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with executive and federal government leadership.
Have the ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
Must have current/active Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or
Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification. Applications without a certificate will not be considered.
Must have at least one IAT Level II — Approved Baseline Certifications (DoD 8570.01-M): You only need one of these to meet the IAT II requirement: Applications without a certificate will not be considered.

Preferred Certifications - Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) v3 or later.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an Active Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Security clearance TS SCI.

General Duties:

Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architecture solutions aligned with organizational and federal agency objectives.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates using tools such as ARM, Bicep, or Terraform to automate provisioning of cloud resources.
Architect hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises systems and cloud platforms (primarily Microsoft Azure).
Lead cloud migration efforts, including lift-and-shift and re-architecture of applications and virtual machines to Azure.
Establish and enforce governance standards, access controls, and security configurations in alignment with federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
Manage containerized workloads and orchestration using services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Instances.
Oversee cloud networking design including VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, load balancers, and application gateways.
Design and optimize storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions in the cloud.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and cost management solutions to support operational efficiency and budget adherence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and application developers to deliver cloud-based solutions.
Provide technical leadership and cloud architecture guidance to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of mission-critical systems.
Coordinate with cloud operations and support teams to optimize service delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.
