Location: This in-office position will be based out of our Toronto office.

The opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, National Advisory Desk, the Associate, National Advisory Desk will use their exceptional organization and client service skills to provide confidential and timely administrative and client-service support to National Advisory Desk advisory team and their clients.
Acting as a resource person for clients, the incumbent will lead the timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks relating to managing client accounts and team operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in preparing Advisors for client meetings, including the preparation of account-opening documentation.
- Processing a variety of transactions (ex: issuing cheques, electronic payments, deposits, contributions and withdrawals, incoming and outgoing transfers).
- Committing to rigorous follow-up relating to all client transactions to ensure proper processing and minimization of errors.
- Acting as a general resource person for clients (ex: electronically sending documents to clients including statements and tax slips., printing statements, tax slips).
- Having a strong understanding of the firm’s procedures and policies.
- Maintaining client files, ensuring that all documentation and notes are compliant with industry regulations.
- Performing general administrative tasks (ex: preparing letters, client communication pieces, etc.)
- Attending client events.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
The Ideal candidate will possess:
- A diploma in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study.
- A minimum of one year of administrative experience, preferably in Finance.
- Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) would be considered an asset.
- Experience in opening accounts with CIRO is considered a strong asset
- Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and long-term goals.

- An excellent attention to detail.
- Exemplary interpersonal and influencing skills; an ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively, across multiple mediums (in-person, over the phone, and virtually).

- A high tolerance for ambiguity; highly adaptive and able to manage a large volume of competing priorities.
- Strong critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
