Job Description
Perform various tasks and analyses of Bio/pharmaceutical ingredients and products; reviewing or preparing standards and samples for analysis and running a variety of equipment or instrumentation independently; troubleshoot and solve both instrumental and/or method problems; working efficiently; provide consultation to clients including interpretation of results; leading project/test areas including mentoring junior staff members; evaluate current systems and suggest process improvements when appropriate; write complete and detailed investigations independently; support multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrate leadership qualities and provide coverage for management when needed; suggest and implement lab improvements or LEAN initiatives; on-board new instrumentation and equipment; write procedures for new instrument platforms

Meets all requirements of a Senior Scientist I in addition to:
Provide consultation to clients on technical issues, including interpretation of results
Guide and mentor junior staff to successfully complete projects and grow technical knowledge
Develop advanced knowledge in a minimum of one technical discipline
Expand ability to on-board new instrumentation – learn requirements for data integrity
Perform complex data evaluations and write complex technical reports
Display ability to apply principles of scientific thinking to a complex range of intellectual and practical problems
Communicates effectively with client staff members
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
Ensures good housekeeping with a neat, clean and orderly workspace
Performs other duties as assigned Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ): To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required. Education/Experience (BMQ): Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration and a minimum of 6 years of laboratory experience, masters degree with a minimum of 4 years of laboratory experience or a Ph.D. with a minimum 2 years of laboratory experience
