Inside Sales Specialist

Purpose of Role: As an Inside Sales Specialist, your technical passion will drive you to expertly manage customer inquiries from quotation to order, ensuring seamless processes and outstanding service. You’ll leverage your technical know-how to build trusted relationships, deliver tailored solutions, and play a key role in the team’s commercial success. Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the entire quotation process: Work closely with sales engineers and customers to assess technical requirements, select the appropriate pump or solution, obtain pricing and lead times, and produce accurate, bespoke quotations to help secure business.
- Act as the technical support for our customers: Offer guidance on Weir’s products, respond to technical queries, and assist customers with everything from pump selection to troubleshooting, ensuring they feel reassured and well-supported throughout our Global network of experts.
- Deliver outstanding customer service: Be the approachable, knowledgeable contact in the office, enter orders into Salesforce, resolve queries, and build strong relationships, both internally and externally - making every customer interaction smooth and positive.
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Show strong technical affinity: Be comfortable working in a technical environment, with a genuine interest in technical products and solutions.
- Be proficient in English and Dutch: Communicate fluently and professionally in both languages, ensuring clear and effective interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Have good administrative and IT skills: Be confident using tools such as Word, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce or SAP), with the ability to learn new systems as required.
- Possess a solid technical foundation: Demonstrate understanding of electromechanical and hydraulic systems, with the ability to interpret technical information and apply it to customer needs
- Display a customer-focused mindset: Approach tasks with a service-oriented attitude, prioritising customer satisfaction and effective communication.
