POSITION OVERVIEW

Campbell Oil Aviation is seeking a motivated and versatile Project & Business Development Specialist to support the growth of our aviation division. This role blends business development, project management, and customer support, focusing on securing new service projects at airports, strengthening vendor and customer relationships, and supporting sales initiatives across our aviation footprint. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and pursue service project opportunities at airports, including tank installations, fuel farm upgrades, point-of-sale systems, and small-scale service needs.
  • Research new opportunities such as fuel bids, medical transport partnerships, and corporate flight department requirements (e.g., tank or truck leases).
  • Support aviation fuel sales by generating and following up on leads, securing carriers for new accounts, and expanding customer relationships.
  • Attend or coordinate industry events (air shows, conferences, etc.) to promote services and generate leads (5–10% travel as needed).
  • Use CRM tools to capture and manage leads, track opportunities, and maintain accurate records of business development activity.

Project Management

  • Coordinate and oversee service projects, managing both internal teams and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers on project scope, progress, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain a network of vetted vendor partners to secure competitive pricing, reliable service, and timely delivery.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project needs, confirm progress, and ensure quality outcomes (5–10% travel as needed).
  • Track milestones and project updates in CRM for reporting and team visibility.

Customer Support & Inside Sales

  • Provide inside sales support for aviation fuel opportunities, including end users and FBOs.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to pitch solutions and expand account penetration.
  • Assist in preparing fuel bids and proposals for new and existing accounts.
  • Work closely with operations to deliver exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage CRM insights to strengthen customer relationships and support proactive follow-up.

Logistics & Event Support

  • Manage logistics and planning events such as air shows and temporary asset placements.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure successful execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, aviation, or a related field is preferred, though candidates with equivalent experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in aviation services, fuel sales, project management, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage vendor/contractor relationships.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits, customer meetings, and events (5–10%).
  • Knowledge of aviation fueling systems, equipment, and service projects are a strong plus.
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) to manage pipelines, track activity, and produce actionable reporting.
