ROLE SUMMARY:

The Commercial Performance Director plays an integral role within our Commercial Growth department by interpreting sales and marketing performance data to provide analytical takeaways, cohesive storytelling, and recommend action. It is a highly transparent position, working closely with senior leaders of the organization and various cross-functional work groups. Commercial Performance Director is responsible for owning the overall performance understanding for AB Brands and the industry on a national level. This person will lead, manage, and mentor a team of 2-3 direct reports who are responsible for the analysis of specific sub-segments / brands

JOB RESPONSILBILITIES:

  • Drives a well-rounded understanding of category and AB performance trends, integrating inputs from partition managers to feed our weekly & monthly performance routine
  • Leads deep dive/ad hoc analysis on evolving share, revenue, volume and performance issues and recommends appropriate action plans
  • Analyzes impact of sales & marketing performance drivers: distribution, displays, features, space, price dynamics, brand health, media spend to develop insights & recommendations
  • Transforms insights into recommendations to through simple, visual, and willing to take action that drives common understanding and aligns partners
  • Develops advanced tools and best practices to understand and diagnose performance
  • Identifies and cascades best practices between regions and brand teams
  • Conducts training as required with region and brand teams and management on utilization of tools to monitor performance
  • Understands competitive threats and results of actions in the marketplace

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business, Mathematics or related field
  • 5+ years of professional sales management or performance analytics experience
  • Experience preparing and leading executive level presentations to the broader organization
  • Track record of identifying performance risks & opportunities and act as a consultant to the network
  • Ability to manage and synthesize large amounts of data to deliver insights & recommendations
  • Ability to work in an environment of tight deadlines, and to consistently challenge and be challenged on performance results
  • Ability to manage, mentor and develop a team of direct reports
  • Knowledge of econometric modeling and microeconomics in actionable business settings (i.e. regression analysis) ideal by not required
