Responsibilities:
•  Leading the accounting team in Croatia and Slovenia.
•  Record all accounting records accurately.
•  Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for statutory and group purposes.
•  Managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
•  Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
•  Ensure timely bank payments.
•  Prepare budget and forecasts.
•  Support the dunning process for overdue invoices.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a chief accountant in an international company for at least 2 years.
• Experience of leading a team
• Experience with the tax environment in Croatia and Slovenia
•  Familiarity with accounting software (MS Navision/Dynamics) is advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• English minimum level: C1
• Good communication abilities, speaking Slovenian could be an asset.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Flexible to travel to Slovenia or Croatia for at least one day per week.
