About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Operations and Logistics Coordinator to join our Melton Recycling Facility. This field based role is responsible for coordinating bin and waste movements, monitoring stockpiles, managing transport logistics, and ensuring safe operation of plant and equipment. You will work closely with the Contract Manager, operators and contractors to maintain compliance, drive efficiency, and uphold high standards of site presentation and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate bin movements and waste streams, ensuring safe and efficient flow.
• Monitor stockpile levels to meet EPA license and site capacity requirements.
• Oversee plant readiness, inspections, and maintenance scheduling.
• Lead and support operational staff, driving safety-first culture and KPI performance.
• Manage transport logistics and liaise with downstream recycling partners.
• Ensure contractor compliance, induction, and site access requirements are met.
• Maintain high standards of site cleanliness and presentation.
• Contribute to reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We are Looking For

• Experience in waste, recycling, or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of EPA waste management requirements.
• Proven ability to lead or coordinate teams in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and manage competing priorities.

It would be great if you also bring:

• Plant operator tickets (e.g., loader, forklift)
• Experience with waste tracking systems or weighbridge coordination, or related field
